Hello EnduroCross racers and fans,

Just wanted to give you some updates and information about the upcoming fourteenth season of EnduroCross. We are functioning very hard to implement some fresh suggestions to make EnduroCross even more exciting.

Watch this interview by Carter York describing the changes.

Let’s begin with all the support classes:

  • We will be including a second Amateur class known as Amateur B. This class will be for the next 12 riders that failed to qualify for the Amateur class main event. It will not be a championship class and is intended to provide more amateur cyclists an opportunity to develop their EnduroCross skills.

  • Three of the support classes will be a multi-round championship (Amateur, Vet, Women) and we will have a throw-away of worst result prior to the final round in Ontario.

  • Amateur B and TrialsCross is going to be race by race results rather than part of a championship.

We love TrialsCross when we do not have enough entries, the particular TrialsCross racers will race with the Amateur B class with their personal results.

Big news for the Amateur champion and Vet winner! They will be invited to participate in the “Super EnduroCross B main” and will have the opportunity to qualify for the Super EnduroCross Final if they place first or 2nd! (Don’t forget that if you qualify for final as a Vet or Inexperienced, you will not be able to run the Veterinarian or Amateur class during the exact same season. )

Also, we are planning to develop tracks in a more rider friendly method. Expect more flow and enjoyable!

Now let’s talk about our premier course - Expert or Pro. As of 2017, the premier class of EnduroCross will be called Super EnduroCross! The name change is mostly driven from the desire to match the FIM “Super Enduro” World championship and to assist individuals better understand our sport globally.

  • The Super EnduroCross class will have the top eight riders from the championship (present) seeded for last. Those eight riders will have a hot lap Saturday afternoon for the qualifier gate pick. They will after that race a qualifier, a group race (top 12 from the qualifier) and the main event.

  • 14 other riders will qualify for the night time show during Saturday’s day system and will ride the first race from the evening. The top five of that competition will join the eight seeded Super EnduroCross riders for the 1st Super EnduroCross race (gate choose qualifier).

  • Super EnduroCross gate pick qualifier will have thirteen riders lined up with the top twelve going to the bracket race.

  • After intermission, the top 12 bikers from the Super EnduroCross gate choose race will be part of a group race where the top riders will compete three times with the winner generating one championship point.

  • Then we will have the Super EnduroCross B main (not part of a string championship) with the nine remaining Super EnduroCross riders and the winners of Amateur and Vet classes. The very best two of that race will be eligible for a the Super EnduroCross main event.

The final race (Main event) will have 14 laps plus a “No Joke Lane” that each participator will have to conquer one time during the main event. The Super EnduroCross class will even have one throw-away event prior to the final round in Ontario.

Looking forward to seeing all of you at first round in Las Vegas upon August 19th!

Yours in sport,

Eric Peronnard
EnduroCross Sport Director
