One of the reasons the team and Kacy chose the 150 XC-W was the PDS suspension, which doesn’t have surprise linkage hanging down to catch on obstacles.

Kacy Martinez offers won championships in both the WORCS and GNCC series and is now racing the EnduroCross series on-board a Factory RedBull KTM a hundred and fifty XC-W two-stroke. One of the reasons the group and Kacy chose the 150 XC-W was the PDS suspension, which does not have shock linkage hanging down to catch on obstacles. The other deciding factor is the electric start, a feature that comes in very handy in a race environment that is anything but predictable.

The engine is pretty close to stock except for some factory power valve work for smoother delivery.

The engine is incredibly close to stock except for some factory power valve work for smoother shipping. The ignition is even share. The Mikuni carb is stock except for jetting and KTM ETS premixed fuel is what lives in the particular factory clear SX tank. This is a special KTM race team container - sorry you can’t buy one for the 150. The team leaves the XC-W transmission stock and a uncooked FMF pipe feeds into a good FMF 2 . 1 titanium PowerCore muffler. Engine power travels via Hinson clutch components on its way to Renthal sprockets and an RK chain. Final gearing on Kacy’s bike is 12/50.

Protection is important in EnduroCross so a P3 slide plate is used as a Zip-Ty shark fin and T. M. Designs chain sliders and chain guide.

The suspension set up to get Kacy is ultra plush through the entire stroke of the WP Cone Valve air fork and Traxx PDS shock. Both the fork and the shock have been lowered and forks are situated up about 20mm in the Neken triple clamps. The seat foam is also shaved down to help lower the bike further. The wheels comprise of stock hubs and spokes, laced to Excel A60 rims. The rear tire is a Dunlop Gummy 756 and the front is a Dunlop MX52. Both front and rear tires use TireBalls.

The particular Renthal Twin Wall 999 handlebars mount through the PDHS mounts. Renthal half waffle soft are the holds of choice. ARC levers are additional insurance incase of a tip over. Protection is important in EnduroCross so a P3 skid plate is used as a Zip-Ty shark fin plus T. M. Designs chain sliders and chain guide. Protecting front side brake disc is an Acerbis guard. A Motion Pro Titan throttle tube is stronger than stock yet won’t bent like a metal accelerator tube might in a crash.

The teams goal is to make the 150 as light as possible so titanium bolts are used throughout the bike, including the engine. Despite having the electric start and the added protection, Kacy’s bike weighs just like a non-electric start 150 SX; right around 190 pounds without gas. This is by far the most trick KTM 150 XC-W bikes we’ve ever noticed!
