Competition Concludes At 92nd Edition Associated with ISDE In France

US Women finish second, ALL OF US Junior Trophy Team takes home third

Ryan Sipes (10) slips through on the inside to grab the holeshot in the E1 moto. Sipes bobbled on the second lap and allowed Spaniard Josep Garcia to slip past for the lead. Sipes held on to second in the race and completed off the week second overall within the E1 division.

The 92nd edition of the International Six Days Enduro in Brive, France concluded today with the conventional motocross races, which were held on a makeshift track in the paddocks close to the town of Brive. The US ISDE Teams finished off the event along with strong showings in each of the final races.

In the E1 moto, Ryan Sipes squeezed through on the inside to secure the holeshot and led the race until eventual E1 class champion Josep Garcia passed Sipes once the Costal Racing Husqvarna rider bobbled at the midway point of the race allowing Garcia to take the direct. Garcia went on to win the particular race with Sipes in 2nd, while former World Enduro E1 World Champion Eero Remes completed third. Layne Michael was an impressive fifth and Josh Toth had been 13th.


Ben Kelley

Ben Kelley and his Trail Jesters KTM Race teammates Cody Webb and Ty Tremaine claimed third overall within the Club Team event. Kelly has been seventh in the C1 moto.

In the E2 competition, Kailub Russell flinched off the door and got off to a bad start. However , the FMF KTM Factory Racing Team rider was able to make several passes within the initial two turns and moved upward into fifth heading into the opening lap. Russell later washed out front side end and lost a position, but was able to work his way back up and regain the spot. Russell has been pushing Alex Salvini for third near the end of the race. At the end of five laps, Russell ended the race in fourth behind Nathan Watson, Christophe Charlier, and Salving.


Grant Baylor

After popping their shoulder out of place on Day 5 and putting it back by himself, Grant Baylor finished a respectable thirteenth in the E2 moto.

In the E3 race, Taylor Robert also got off to a bad start, but was able to check up and slip to the inside and come out with a respectable seventh. After making several passes, Robert finally worked his way into second at the rear of Jaume Betriu of Spain before the finish of the race.

Taylor Robert got off to some bad start in the E3 moto, but managed to work his method up into second place from the finish, securing his win within the E3 division.

In the Women’s race, Brandy Richards got off the line behind Laia Sanz but was able to pass the particular Spaniard on lap two and pulled away for the win. Australia’s Tayla Jones was third, with Team USA’s Becca Sheets completing the race in fifth. Kacy Martinez fell early in the competition, but was able to work her way up to eighth by the end of the moto.


Kailub Russell

Kailub Russell got more comfortable with the French Six Days as the days progressed and he wound up having his best finishes around the final three days. Kailub has been fourth in the E2 moto.

In Team competition, the US Women’s Trophy Team, featuring Kacy Martinez, Becca Sheets and Brandy Richards, fared the best, completing second to Australia in the last overall results. The US Junior Trophy Team came away with a reputable third place finish behind France and Italy.

Layne Michael ran a great race within the E1 division and came away with a fifth place finish against the best Enduro racers in the world.

Individually, Taylor Robert won the E3 division, while Sipes was second in the E1 class.

KR4 Arrive-n-Ride Husqvarna’s Grant Baylor gets the ironman award for finishing 13th in the E2 moto despite riding with a shoulder that he dislocated on Day Five.


Brandy Richards

Brandy Richards put a slick pass on Dakar racer Laia Sanz on the second lap of the Women’s moto and went on to take the particular win.

Becca Sheets

Becca Sheets improved with each day in her first-ever ISDE and finished strong using a fifth place finish in the last moto.

Kacy Martinez

Kacy Martinez went down near the start of the final moto yet worked her way back to a respectable eighth, helping her teammates to second overall in the division.
