When testing bikes we frequently call on the fastest and gnarliest dudes we know to give a proper shakedown of the machine in question. And, we now have done that both with the 2017 Honda CRF250X and 2017 Suzuki RMX450Z in previous stories. However since both of these machines are on the tamer side of the road, all of us grabbed some newbie riders to find out what they think of these full-size trail bikes. New riders like these 3 would typically start on 125 four-strokes or the CRF/TTR 230 type bicycles that have a lower seat height plus mellower power, yet we sort of forced them to get out of their safe place to see if really green riders can skip ahead to larger machines.
