Get race results for Round 16 of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross Series within East Rutherford, New Jersey.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N. J. (April 29, 2017) - The dilemma surrounding the 2017 title battle in Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, had taken another twist on Saturday before 59, 583 fans inside MetLife Stadium during the penultimate round from the season. For just the third time this season defending 450SX Class Champion and Team Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Ryan Dungey got the win, capitalizing on a misfortune-plagued evening for championship leader Eli Tomac to reclaim the factors lead. The 450SX Course Main Event kicked off with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Jason Anderson securing the SupercrossLive. possuindo Holeshot over RMATV/MC-WPS-KTM's Davi Millsaps, while both Dungey and Tomac settled in behind them. Early hostility by Tomac allowed him to obtain by Dungey on an extremely specialized layout in challenging conditions, where track position proved to be crucial. Dungey preserved a comfortable advantage throughout the heart of the 20-minute-plus-two-lap race, but Musquin gradually started to track down his teammate and training partner after surpassing Millsaps for second on Lap several. The KTM duo paced one another for several laps, carefully navigating the particular treacherous layout in addition to lapped bikers, but Musquin soon got top of the hand and made the move for the lead on Lap ten. From there the Frenchman put a little distance between he and Dungey, but the champ kept his teammate within reach.

Osborne continued to extend his lead and took the checkered flag 4. 5 seconds more than Ferrandis, who recorded a career-best result. In each of his 4 wins this season Osborne has come-from-behind to do so, passing his way to the front.

"It was a tight track tonight. You needed to be aggressive, " said Osborne. "I got a terrible start, such as mid pack, and barely made it through first turn. It was a struggle. The first couple laps there I used to be really nervous, but I was in a position to make the pass on Joey [Savatgy] and get into the lead and just ride my own race. "

Joen Savatgy completed on the podium in third and now leads the points by 7, though results as of posting this story are still provisional.


Following the race Savatgy's reentry onto the track following his crash came under inquiry through race officials, who are in the process of reviewing where on the track he returned to competition, and the precision of his position in the operating order. As of issuing, a final determination had yet to be made.

Currently, based off the provisional results, Savatgy plus Osborne are separated by just seven points heading into the final circular of the season.
