Now that we’ve hit a lag in the racing schedules, we believed it a good time to throw up the “best of” photo gallery through some of the races we attended this year. Photographer Shan Moore put together their favorite shots from the 2016 Supercross Series, which should be enough to get you amped up about the upcoming 2017 period.

Eli Tomac finished off the yr with his first-ever Monster Energy Glass win, plus a pair of impressive wins at the final two FIM MXGPs of the season. It won't be long until we know if the Colorado native can carry this momentum into the 2017 SX series.

Cooper Webb has been impressive in 2016, winning the particular West Regional 250 SX title and the 250 outdoor Motocross name. In 2017, Webb will be moving forward to the 450 class on a factory Yamaha.

Factory Honda rider Cole Seely had three podiums during the 2016 SX season, and should be challenging for the podium again on the consistent basis in 2017.

After dominating the outdoor series, Ken Roczen left RCH Suzuki for the factory Honda ride and he appeared very comfortable on the new bike at the Monster Energy Cup.

An up and down Supercross season left Weston Peick in 13th position after the final race. There was some rumours about where Peick would land for 2017, but it has been declared that he was stay put with JGRMX as the team moves from Yamaha to Suzuki.

Zach Osborne takes flight with a couple of Hillcrest high rises in the background. The 2017 series returns to Petco Park for the second round from the season on January 14.

Marvin Musquin finished off the year having a win over Red Bull KTM teammate Ryan Dungey at the Red Bull Straight Rhythm.

Ryan Dungey plus Ken Roczen go head to head with A1. Dungey topped Roczen with this year's SX title, but Roczen was dominant in the outdoor collection. It will be interesting to see how the 2 riders stack up at this year's A1.

Trey Canard said farewell to some long career with Honda and signed with KTM for 2017. Canard hopes the change in scenery will work in his favor.

Jason Anderson (21) skipped the final few rounds of the outdoor series due to injury and actually rode the Motocross of Nations despite the injury. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory rider is anticipated to be a steady podium guy in 2017.
